Cammax were approached by Concorde IT Group to provide a complete hardware and software solution for DFS, one of the UK’s leading furniture retailers. The project started in 2010 as a trial over several stores and the success of this trial lead to a national rollout throughout 2011 and continuing in 2012 as new stores opened.

The purpose of the kiosk is to allow customers to view the entire DFS product range via the Cammax secure browser whilst in store. The comprehensive hardware and software system Cammax provided enabled all kiosks to be managed centrally by DFS.

The concept was embraced by the store Managers and the sales team alike as it was proven to be a valuable tool in assisting the sales team as not all stores have the capacity to have every item on display. DFS customers could easily direct sales staff to the product that they had been viewing at home by navigating using the kiosks friendly user interface. The application also allowed for gesture commands which consumers with iPads and iPhones are familiar with using.
