Conference Roundup: Cammax on show at Parkex and Transport Ticketing Global

After an incredible month the curtain has finally closed on two of the biggest events on the Cammax exhibition calendar: Parkex and Transport Ticketing Global (TTG).

Over these last four weeks we have had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people and mixing it with some of the finest thought-leaders and innovators in the parking and transport ticketing sectors respectively.

We’ve engaged in lively debates, showcased our exciting new solutions, and developed relationships that will grow from strength-to-strength.

As the dust settles on these two unforgettable expos, we recap what has happened and take a quick look ahead to what next year has in store!

BPA Parkex 2022

From 14th-16th June Cammax returned to showcase our most innovative parking payment solutions to date at BPA Parkex, Europe’s largest dedicated parking event.

Hosted at Birmingham’s NEC, the three-day conference bought together 350 exhibitors as well as over 10,000 transport, traffic and parking professionals, all of whom gathered to check out some of the latest parking technology innovations and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the parking sector.

During the exhibition, and new for 2022, Cammax unveiled the GP27 parking payment solution: a cutting-edge indoor parking payment machine complete with an intuitive portrait widescreen. The GP27 evokes the look and feel of a retail payment kiosk that many customers recognise and value, and the reception to our latest product was hugely positive.

Although we have traditionally specialised in delivering ANPR Pay on Exit systems, during this year’s Parkex the Cammax team also demonstrated our brand-new ‘Pay on Entry’ mode.

Pay on Entry mode enables motorists to pay for their parking as they enter a car park, which empowers car park operators with varied and complex requirements and infrastructures to offer more choice than ever before.

Transport ticketing Global 2022

After an extremely successful event at Parkex the Cammax team headed south for Transport Ticketing Global, which was held at London’s Olympia between 28th-29th June

Returning for its 14th edition, the much-anticipated TTG 2022 conference didn’t disappoint with over 1000 transport operators, authorities, industry bodies and technology providers all joining together to examine and explore the latest transport ticketing solutions.

As a market leader in the design, development and supply of payment and ticketing systems Cammax have long used TTG as a platform for unveiling our newest and most innovative products, and this year was no different.

As well as showcasing our hugely successful Rail Ticket Vending Machine (TVM), which has been adopted by East Midlands Railway, new for 2022 we also unveiled our pioneering Smart Tram Ticketing Vending Machine our most secure, functional and intelligent TVM to date.

The Cammax Smart Tram TVM, which has now replaced Nottingham Trams previous TVM network, facilitates the issuing of a range of smart cards and paper tickets, as well offering unrivalled smart card dispensing features. Passengers can also use the TVM to pay for their tickets around-the-clock via contactless, credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, and cash.

Uniquely, our Tram TVM features an intelligent monitoring module which enables us to monitor the health and status of each and every component in the machine remotely in real time, which is essential for ticketing machines that need to autonomously sell tickets 24/7.

Feedback on the new Tram TVM was incredibly positive and for more information about our work with Nottingham Trams please check out the case study here.
