Self Service Check In
In conjunction with its healthcare partners, Cammax have developed and installed several types of self service check in solutions.
These range from a simple wall mounted touch screen for a patient to enter date of birth information, through to barcode scanners linking into Patient Record Systems.
ClearView Barcode Scanner Registration
Patients can register their attendance for outpatient appointments on the self check in kiosks, which saves the Hospital a considerable amount in personnel and administration costs. Patients have the choice of registering using two methods, either entering their personal details, or using the barcode printed on their appointment letters. The ClearView kiosks have built-in omni-directional barcode scanners, so that patients who bring their appointment letters, which have a barcode printed on them, can scan their letters at the kiosk. The barcode method of patient registration using self service speeds up the registration process substantially.
As an additional option Cammax can provide large DUO kiosks with a 42” or 52” screen positioned throughout waiting areas to call patients to their appointment. The DUO kiosk can also display patient and hospital information.
As an additional feature to resolve patient flow issues within the hospital the unique ClearView kiosks can also be loaded with a Way Finding Application which shows patients exactly how to find the location of their appointment. This leads to significant efficiencies, allowing appointments to stay on time and not over run due to late attendances, and also frees up hospital staff from giving directions to patients.
