Access Control Kiosk

Cammax has designed and created a range of Access Control / Security kiosk solutions ranging from Fast Track kiosks for Procter and Gamble Distribution depots through to Ticketing and Turnstile Access for tourist venues. These solutions have been developed closely with the clients to ensure the functionality of the kiosk solution is perfectly suited to end requirements. The solutions can be tailored to suited a range of environments. When combined with other kiosk functionality (such as payment, or way-finding) these solutions can provide complete self service access to venues therefore reducing the need for front staff. Translation software can reduce the need to employ gate staff at busy distribution depots. Wayfinding software can also be combined to increase efficiency and flow around large venues.

Access Control for Distribution Depots

Cammax developed an efficient solution to reduce queues of HGV’s at gatehouses and cut down the time for UK and Foreign goods vehicles to securely enter distribution centres and complete their given tasks (unload, load goods etc). Communication challenges between drivers and staff had to be improved via the new security kiosk system, thereby improving the driver/staff experience, shrinking queues, saving time and money. The solution incorporates 2 weatherproof touchscreen kiosks per goods-in lane, one for left hand drive and one for right hand drive vehicles. Each unit required 2 screens; one situated at cab level for communicating with gatehouse staff and one for site health and safety information and way finding maps and directions for the drivers’ destination(s) within the distribution centres.

Incorporating our innovative multi-lingual Queue Flow Management software suite, UK and European drivers can now communicate efficiently with site operators using the intuitive touchscreen system. Although the system operated is a stand-alone application, it can also integrate with organisation’s existing IT infrastructure with ease if required.

Access Control for Tourist Locations

Cammax also developed additional Access Control solutions incorporating payment and ticketing with turnstile access for a busy tourism venue.  Allowing members of the public to purchase and receive printed tickets from the outdoor kiosk. The printed ticket then provides access via a turnstile to the venue. By integrating these features together has reduced the need for to staff to be located at the site entrance. The current solution can be customised with a range of features from Chip and Pin, Ticketing Printing and Web Cam and can be integrated into entrance facilities such as turnstiles and gates. The solution can provide access to restricted areas, or areas which require ticketed access without staff assistance. This ensures  a cost effective way to improve and re-focus staff resources.
